While walking around this neighborhood on a Monday morning I could hear roosters in someone's yard. Some of the yards have growing things, and some are all paved. Most houses have some kind of fence around the front yard. There were lots of cars and many of the houses seem run down or poorly repaired. Every so often, there would be a well-kept house with a well-tended yard. Lots of the usual plant life- Bermuda grass, oleander, hibiscus, juniper, palms and jacaranda. I chose yard waste from a large pile of diseased lemon tree branches.
