This series began as a documentation of the plant and gardening waste on the streets of my San Jose neighborhood. The mini mountains are accidental sculptures and three dimensional portraits of wild, unwanted stuff. If the well-kept yards are aspirational, the debris piles are the truth- decay, death, regeneration, wildness, and an accounting of our debt to, and our distance from, the natural world. They are rejected medicine. Recent work involves adding color and printing on found paper.

Each print is unique. Cyanotype is an early photographic method using UV for exposure.
